EPISODE CONTEXT
Picking up directly from the premiere's introduction of Goku and Bulma's Dragon Ball quest, this episode deepens their partnership while planting the seeds of an antagonist thread with Emperor Pilaf's forces. It's foundational world-building, still very early in the 153-episode run. The next episode escalates things significantly with the introduction of Master Roshi and the iconic Nimbus Cloud, making this a necessary bridge between the series' origin point and its expanding mythology.
