EPISODE CONTEXT
Six episodes into the 64-episode run, Goku and company are still in the early stages of their interstellar hunt for the Black Star Dragon Balls — a quest with a hard deadline tied to Earth's survival. Coming off the chaos of Imecka, this episode represents the first meaningful progress toward that goal, with the crew securing their initial Dragon Ball. It sets a template for what the space-travel arc will look like: planet-hopping, localized problems, and incremental victories on the road to a much larger confrontation.
