EPISODE CONTEXT
Roughly a third of the way through GT's 64-episode run, the Baby Saga is still ahead, making this Machine Mutant conflict the series' first major test of its new direction. This episode directly follows the crew's deepening entanglement with the Machine Mutant forces on Planet M-2, escalating that threat by bringing General Rilldo — described as exceeding previous challenges — into direct confrontation. It plants the stakes and tension that will carry through the arc's final confrontations.
