Synopsis

Fresh off their victory over Majin Buu and the salvation of the world, Goku and his friends find their reward is getting turned into kids again. A scheming demon named Gomah watched their battle, got nervous about how strong they are, and decided to use the Dragon Balls to shrink them down — literally. Now Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and the crew are stuck in smaller bodies with reduced power, and to fix things they have to travel into the Demon Realm itself. What makes this 20-episode TV series interesting is the tone. If you grew up with the original Dragon Ball — the one where Goku was a kid going on weird adventures — this is basically Toei Animation trying to recapture that feeling. There's fighting, sure, but the emphasis is more on exploration, new characters, and a world that actually feels dangerous in a fun way rather than just "who has the bigger power level." The Demon Realm is genuinely cool as a setting, with its own politics and geography, and the new characters like Glorio and Panzy aren't just filler — they matter to the story. The animation is a step up too, blending modern quality with an art style that feels like Toriyama's original drawings came to life. If you liked Dragon Ball Super but wished it leaned more into adventure, or if Dragon Ball GT left you wanting a better version of "Goku gets small again," this is worth your time. It's action-packed and comedic without overdoing either.

A good ending but kinda wished the story didn't end there. Would have wanted a bit more on the world of daima but it was still a great episode indeed. However, the battle between goku and gomah was amazing!
Awesome! Glad it still has the original DB feels. For me, what stood out is the character development. They got plenty of action scenes across many series where old comrades were hardly noticed. The balance of comedy, action, and character depth here is what I love the most.
Major characters here are insanely strong. But what Glorio, Neva, & Bulma did while they were in a pinch was irreplaceable. This goes back to what I said about minor characters as backbones. These transformations aren't only shown in strength, but also in characters themselves.
