Coming off the hard-won defeat of Belphemon and the dismantling of Kurata's immediate threat, this episode reveals that the damage runs far deeper than anyone anticipated — the boundary between the Human and Digital Worlds is in crisis. Sitting at episode 39 of 48, this is peak late-season pivot territory, closing the door on the Kurata arc while cracking open a far larger threat in Yggdrasil.
