Synopsis

As a member of the Blood Pact Council — the highest governing body of vampire society — Dali Delico is vampire aristocracy. So when a string of serial murders rocks their world, with each crime scene marked by a card reading "True of Vamp" (a reference to the legendary progenitor of all vampires), the Vlad Agency naturally wants him leading the investigation. His response? No thanks, he's busy raising a baby. That's the setup for Delico's Nursery, a 13-episode TV series from J.C.Staff that somehow makes gothic vampire politics and diaper duty coexist in the same show. Dali's fellow council members — Gerhard, Dino, Henrique — show up expecting a seasoned operative and find him elbow-deep in childcare. Meanwhile, an anti-social organization called Pendulum starts emerging as the prime suspect behind the killings, and Dali's own past connections to them make things considerably more complicated. The tone shifts between genuine tenderness and dark, mysterious thriller beats in a way that actually works rather than feeling disjointed. If you liked the vampire intrigue and aesthetics of Vampire Knight or The Case Study of Vanitas, this hits a similar vein but with a surprisingly grounded emotional core. It also shares some DNA with Servamp in how it balances lighter character moments against heavier supernatural stakes. The childcare angle isn't just a gimmick — it gives the mystery real personal weight, because Dali isn't just solving murders, he's protecting the world his kid is going to grow up in.

Quick Takes

Might be just me but I LOVED the idea of an overworked vampire father babysitting while juggling their duties. What I appreciated the most was how the anime focuses a lot on the children’s feelings and how the effects of their parental figure is materialized in the child.
