Ngl the mystery around the attacks finally made the exam way more interesting. Somebody clearly playing dirty behind the scenes. The pacing was slower compared to earlier episodes, but it worked because the psychological pressure kept building the whole time.
Classroom of the Elite 4th Season: Second Year, First Semester

Synopsis
Don't let the blank expression and average test scores fool you — Kiyotaka Ayanokouji is possibly the most dangerous student in his school, and you'd never know it from looking at him. He keeps his head down, scores average grades on purpose, and lets everyone around him think he's nobody. That quiet facade is what makes Classroom of the Elite so addictive to watch unfold. In this fourth season, Ayanokouji and his classmates hit their second year at the Advanced Nurturing High School — a place where your class ranking basically determines your entire future. Right away, things get complicated. A new batch of first-year students arrives, and the school throws everyone into a special exam that pairs upperclassmen with these newcomers for a written test. The catch: only the second-years face expulsion if their team tanks. And to make things worse, there are rumors that one of the new first-years came from the White Room — the same secretive facility that shaped Ayanokouji into whatever he really is. The whole vibe is psychological chess. Every conversation has layers, every alliance could be a trap, and Ayanokouji is always three moves ahead of everyone while pretending he's not even playing. If you liked the scheming in Kakegurui or the classroom power dynamics of Assassination Classroom, this scratches a similar itch but with a colder, more calculated edge. Studio Lerche keeps the tension tight and the atmosphere uneasy. It's the kind of show where a quiet conversation in a hallway feels more dangerous than a fight scene.

Quick Takes
View all 234 takesThis episode lowkey proves Koenji might be the most terrifying student in the school. He’s not even trying emotionally and still dominates everyone. Watching the other students suffer while Koenji stays perfectly calm is honestly hilarious. Dude operates on an entirely different difficulty setting.
Koenji really treated the survival exam like a luxury vacation 😭 everybody else is fighting for their lives while bro is somehow out here wiping everyone out
