EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off Episode 7's focus on Megumi managing the social weight of her transformed identity, Episode 8 takes a breather from heavier narrative threads to develop her dynamic with Kobayashi through pure comedic character work. It's a lighter, lateral step in the season rather than a forward push. That said, it lays interpersonal groundwork that feeds into Episode 9, where the series picks momentum back up around Megumi's ongoing pursuit to undo her transformation.
