EPISODE CONTEXT
This is the second part of the three-episode 'Detective Agency Confinement Case' arc, directly following 'Outbreak' (Episode 648) which established the hostage scenario. The tension ratchets up here as the siege deepens, positioning all the pieces for the resolution in 'Release' (Episode 650). As a canon episode adapting manga material, it represents one of the series' periodic high-stakes arcs that break from standalone cases.
