This is the second part of the Hiroshima Miyajima Seven Wonders Tour filler arc, following Part 1's setup on Miyajima island where the detective trio first encountered the film crew's bizarre experiences. As a bridge episode, it deepens the central mystery and positions all the pieces for the resolution expected in the subsequent Part 3.
