This is the second half of a standalone two-part filler arc that began with Episode 297, 'Courtroom Confrontation II: Kisaki vs. Kujo (Part 1),' wrapping up the legal conflict between Eri Kisaki and Reiko Kujo. It has no direct bearing on the overarching Conan narrative but offers valuable character development for Eri. The next episode, 'The Kanmon Strait of Friendship and Murderous Intent (Part 1),' shifts gears back to the series' signature mystery-of-the-week format.
