📖 SYNOPSIS
Every broken bone, grueling training hour, and brutal fight in Baki Hanma's life has been building toward one thing — a showdown with his father, Yujiro Hanma, the so-called strongest creature on Earth. But before he can get there, he's got to deal with something nobody planned for: a caveman. Not a metaphorical one. An actual prehistoric human from the Jurassic era, preserved in rock and revived in modern-day Japan. His name is Pickle, and he used to hunt dinosaurs with his bare hands. That's the kind of show this is.
This 27-episode ONA picks up where the first season left off, and the escalation is absurd in the best way. Baki and other fighters line up to test themselves against Pickle, and every fight pushes the already over-the-top martial arts choreography into territory that feels genuinely unhinged. The animation from TMS Entertainment leans hard into exaggerated anatomy and brutal impact frames — bones crack, muscles ripple, and the show treats combat like a religious experience.
The tone sits somewhere between dead serious and completely ridiculous, and it never apologizes for either. If you liked the raw, visceral fighting in Kengan Ashura or the bizarre power scaling of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, this fits right in that wheelhouse. Fans of Fist of the North Star will recognize the DNA here too — larger-than-life warriors defined by what they can destroy. It's dark, it's primal, and it knows exactly what it wants to be.
