EPISODE CONTEXT
Only three episodes in, the series is still establishing its emotional foundation. Episodes 1 and 2 introduced the mix-up that brought Anne to the Cuthberts and left her future at Green Gables uncertain. This episode steps back from that tension to let Anne — and the audience — simply inhabit the world before the larger questions of acceptance and community take hold. It quietly lays the groundwork for Anne's integration into Avonlea life, which will define the episodes ahead.
