Synopsis
Hamura Shou has barely set foot inside Yuusei Academy, an all-boys school, before he gets pulled into something strange — the headmaster tells him there's a student here who might be his long-lost twin brother. The brother, Kai, has no memory of him, which is already awkward enough. Then an earthquake rips them into another world entirely, and Shou sprouts massive white wings out of nowhere. Turns out there's an old legend about a kingdom whose royal family had wings like that, and the pieces start clicking into place in ways nobody expected. It's a two-episode OVA, so the story moves fast — part school drama, part fantasy portal adventure, with a boys' love undercurrent running through the whole thing. The setup is genuinely intriguing: a mystery about identity, lost family, and what it means when your past literally isn't from this world. The tone is emotional and a little melancholy rather than action-heavy, so go in expecting drama over spectacle. If you've watched Angel Sanctuary or Earthian and liked that blend of winged mythology with intimate character relationships, this fits that same niche. Fans of Loveless will also find the school setting and emotional atmosphere familiar. It's a short commitment for a self-contained fantasy story with some real heart to it, even if it leaves you wishing it had more room to breathe.
