EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly off the premiere's introduction of the Special Security Force and their war against the Red May terrorist organization, this episode widens the conflict considerably by bringing a new faction into play. The arrival of the Hunters — psychic operatives operating outside conventional law — fractures the simple law-versus-terrorism framework and begins laying the ideological groundwork that will drive the remaining four episodes. This is the turning point where Angel Cop stops being a straightforward action series and starts interrogating who the real threat actually is.
