📖 SYNOPSIS

When an earthquake suddenly rocks a local anime convention, high schooler Kakeru Niimi watches a sacred relic shatter inside a shrine — and he was only there to help out. His classmate Miyako Kujou, who was cosplaying at the event, thinks she's been cursed — and Kakeru writes her off as paranoid. Then people around town start developing supernatural powers, and some of them aren't using those powers for anything good. Suddenly the curse theory doesn't sound so ridiculous.

Kakeru teams up with Miyako, his sister Sora, and a mysterious girl named Noa Yuuki to figure out what's happening in their quiet town of Shiromitsugawa. Each of them has gained their own abilities, and the show takes its time layering in mysteries about the broken relic, the source of these powers, and who else might be hiding them. It's a visual novel adaptation, so expect branching character dynamics and romance threads woven through the supernatural mystery — think the slow-burn tension of Steins;Gate mixed with the "ordinary kids suddenly get powers" setup of Charlotte. There's also a Haruhi Suzumiya quality to how the mundane school setting keeps clashing with increasingly strange events.

The tone stays youthful and mysterious without going full grimdark. At 13 episodes from Studio PRA, it's a tight watch that doesn't overstay its welcome. If you like piecing together mysteries alongside characters who are just as confused as you are, this one's worth your time.
