📖 SYNOPSIS
The only thing Ichigo Amano is genuinely talented at is a very specific skill: eating cake. Not making it—eating it. She's clumsy, she's never excelled at anything academic or athletic, and she's basically coasting through life on sugar. Then she meets Henri Lucas, a famous patissier who somehow recognizes that her palate is extraordinary, and he gets her into St. Marie Academy, a prestigious school dedicated entirely to desserts. The catch? She can barely crack an egg, and she's been dropped into a group with the three best students in school—the so-called Sweets Princes. There's Kashino the chocolatier, Andou the Japanese sweets specialist, and Hanabusa the candy flower artist. They're not thrilled about carrying a beginner. Oh, and everyone has tiny fairy companions called Sweets Spirits who help patissiers reach their potential, which gives the whole thing this gentle magical layer on top of the cooking competitions. The show is 50 episodes of Ichigo slowly closing the gap between passion and skill, with baking battles, school rivalries, and genuinely gorgeous dessert animation along the way. It's got the underdog-joins-an-elite-group energy of Ouran High School Host Club, the warm coming-of-age feeling of Cardcaptor Sakura, and if you liked La Corda d'Oro's setup of a beginner surrounded by prodigies, this hits that same nerve. It's a shoujo comfort watch—low stakes, high charm, and you will absolutely crave pastries the entire time.
