EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off Episode 2's reintroduction of Kousei to the music world through Kaori's orbit, 'Inside Spring' deepens the internal conflict before pushing him toward action — it's the emotional groundwork the series needs before things accelerate. This is still early-season setup at episode 3 of 22, firmly in the character-establishment phase where the show earns its eventual dramatic payoffs. Episode 4, 'The Journey,' transitions from this introspection into Kousei's first steps back toward active musical participation.
