📖 SYNOPSIS
Every time she starts a new job, Narumi Momose follows the same system: hide the fact that she's a massive otaku and fujoshi, and live a normal office life. This system has worked before. It falls apart in about five minutes when she bumps into Hirotaka Nifuji, a childhood friend and hardcore gamer, who now works at the same company. He casually outs her hobby in conversation, and before she can even process the damage, he suggests they just date — since they're both otaku and it would be convenient. That's the pitch for the relationship, and honestly it kind of works. This 11-episode TV series from A-1 Pictures follows Narumi and Hirotaka alongside their coworkers Hanako and Kabakura, another couple with their own otaku obsessions and a much louder dynamic. The whole thing lives in that comfortable space between workplace comedy and genuine romance, where people argue about anime at izakayas and awkwardly try to be good partners despite having zero emotional vocabulary. It's grown-up in the sense that everyone has jobs and rent, but nobody really has their life figured out. If you liked the workplace humor of Servant x Service or the nerdy relationship dynamics of Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions but wished the characters were adults with actual paychecks, this is your show. The comedy is warm rather than sharp, and it never punches down at otaku culture — it just lives in it.
