World's End Harem

After going to sleep sick, Reito Mizuhara wakes up as one of the last men alive on Earth. While he was in cryogenic sleep being treated for a rare disease, a virus wiped out 99.9% of the male population. Now the world runs on women, the government wants him to repopulate the species, and the one person he actually cares about — his childhood friend Elisa — has vanished somewhere in the chaos. That's the setup, and it's genuinely a more interesting premise than it sounds on paper. The show is set in a near-future 2040 where the tech is advanced but society is quietly unraveling, and Reito is stuck in the middle trying to figure out what his responsibilities are versus what he actually wants. There's real tension between the dystopian world-building and the personal story of a guy who just wants to find the girl he loves. If you've seen Sekirei or enjoyed the mix of sci-fi and mature content in something like To Love-Ru, you'll recognize the general territory here. Be upfront with yourself going in — this is a TV series with 11 episodes that leans into its erotica genre tag, so it's not subtle about what it is. But if you can work with that, the underlying premise about ethics, loyalty, and what people owe to society in a crisis is more thoughtful than the marketing suggests.
