📖 SYNOPSIS
"Wanderings of Sanmao" depicts the harsh realities of 1930s Shanghai through the eyes of Sanmao, a young, impoverished orphan. Wandering the city streets, where many sought fortune, Sanmao struggles to survive. He befriends another child, the baldheaded Xiao Laizi. Their lives take an unexpected turn when they receive grain from Wu Zifu, a successful entrepreneur. However, this act of kindness is soon overshadowed by a mysterious event: Sanmao falls into a coma. This prompts reporter Hou Yiwen to investigate the relationship between Wu Zifu and the ailing orphan, seeking to uncover the truth behind Sanmao's condition and the circumstances surrounding his life. The anime explores themes of poverty, survival, and the complexities of human relationships in a time of great social and economic disparity.
