Tomobiki Town experiences unusual occurrences. Lum and her friends are making a movie when a significant event happens: the great cherry tree, "Tarozakura," is cut down. This act has a profound consequence for Lum, as she loses her horns, and with them, her powers. This loss marks the beginning of a series of strange events, setting the stage for a unique and lyrical story.
