Unnamed Memory Season 2
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Cursed to never produce an heir, Prince Oscar of Farsas faces a pretty big deal when you're next in line for the throne. His solution? Climb a witch's tower and ask one of the most powerful mages alive to break it. That was Season 1. Now in Unnamed Memory Act.2, things get weirder. Tinasha, the Witch of the Azure Moon, wakes up after a long slumber into a world where magic has faded and nobody remembers who she is — including people she cared about. Oscar is still dealing with his own problems, heading to the mage kingdom of Tuldarr for answers, and the two of them have to piece together what happened to their shared history in a reality that's been quietly rewritten around them. The appeal here is the slow unraveling. This 12-episode TV series from Studio ENGI leans hard into mystery layered over romance, with medieval politics and fading magic systems that actually feel thought through. Akito Matsuda's soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting for the mood — it's the kind of score that lingers after the episode ends. The Oscar and Tinasha dynamic carries real weight because the show earns it through loss and forgotten bonds rather than just throwing them together. If you liked the atmosphere of The Ancient Magus' Bride or the quiet tension between leads in Spice and Wolf, this hits a similar register. Fans of Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works will appreciate the magic system depth. Worth your time if you want fantasy romance that respects your patience.
