Transcend Evolution

Synopsis
In a world where every person is born with a superpower, teenager Ming He is stuck with the worst one. His ability, called 'White Dust,' is literally ranked at the bottom — the kind of power that gets you laughed at in a society obsessed with superpower hierarchies. Then a meteorite slams into him and his garbage-tier ability mutates into something called a 'Dependent Spirit,' which is a whole different thing entirely. Suddenly the kid nobody took seriously is on the radar of factions that either want to recruit him or put him down. This 14-episode ONA from Joicy Studio adapts a web manga and leans into an evolving power system where abilities aren't static — they mutate, shift, and surprise you mid-fight. The action sequences mix traditional animation with CGI in a way that actually works, and the show balances its combat with enough humor to keep things from feeling relentlessly heavy. Ming He's journey from societal reject to someone dangerous is fun to watch unfold, especially in how the early episodes play with the gap between how others see him and what he's actually becoming. If you liked the underdog energy and power progression in Jin Hua Kuang Chao, or the modern-China-meets-supernatural vibe of Hitori no Shita: The Outcast, this sits comfortably in that space. Fans of Quanzhi Gaoshou's underestimated protagonist energy will also find something to latch onto here. It's a solid pick if you're looking for Chinese anime with real momentum behind its fights and its story.
