Throne of Seal 2nd Season
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Most warriors struggle to master a single elemental affinity, but Long Hao Chen is a Dual Knight who wields two in a world where that's nearly unheard of. This ONA picks up right where season one left off, throwing him into the finals of a massive inter-temple competition designed to find humanity's strongest fighters before the demon race finishes what it started. The temples each specialize in different combat disciplines — knights, assassins, mages — and they don't always get along. When Hao Chen gets injured during the ranking matches, his closest ally Sheng Cai'er, a prodigy from the Assassin Temple, nearly starts an all-out war between their two temples trying to avenge him. Their relationship is honestly one of the best parts of the show — it's not just romantic fluff, it actually drives the plot and creates real consequences. The power system here is genuinely interesting too, with spiritual stoves and temple hierarchies that feel thought-out rather than made up on the fly. If you liked Douluo Dalu or Battle Through the Heavens, this hits a very similar sweet spot — cultivation-style progression, tournament arcs, and a protagonist who earns his power-ups through grit rather than just having them handed to him. The animation from Shenman Entertainment holds up well during the fight sequences, which is where it counts. Worth picking up if you're already into Chinese fantasy donghua and want something with a bit more emotional weight to the action.
