The Supreme Body Refining Master
Oshimeter
Synopsis
After clawing his way to the absolute peak of body cultivation, ascending to the Immortal World, and then immediately turning around and coming back, Ye Cangxuan finds himself right where he started — but with far higher stakes. Turns out his homeland — the Nine Skies Continent — is about to be wiped off the map by demonic forces from the Outer Lands, and the Six Sects that were supposed to protect everyone are falling apart from the inside. So now he's back in the mortal realm, still absurdly powerful, trying to hold together a crumbling world while rooting out spies and facing down an invasion that most people don't even realize is coming. This is a 40-episode ONA from Shuiniu Dongman, adapted from a web manga, and it leans hard into that cultivation power fantasy with a twist — Ye Cangxuan's strength comes from body refinement rather than the usual spiritual energy systems, which makes the fights feel more physical and brutal. The 3D animation actually works in its favor here, giving the martial arts sequences real weight and momentum. There's a strong historical and martial arts backbone underneath the fantasy, so the world-building has more texture than you might expect. If you liked Tales of Demons and Gods or Battle Through the Heavens, this hits similar notes — overpowered protagonist, sect politics, escalating threats — but the body refinement angle and the "returning from ascension" setup give it a different flavor. Fans of Martial Universe will also find familiar ground. It's dense with action and moves at a solid pace from the jump.
