π SYNOPSIS
"The Relative Worlds" introduces Shin, a third-year high school student still grappling with the loss of his mother from his childhood, leading him to be somewhat withdrawn. His childhood friend, Kotori, is a constant presence in his life, always looking out for him. Their ordinary lives are shattered when individuals from another Japan appear before them. The film centers on the dynamic between Shin and Kotori, exploring themes of loss, friendship, and the unexpected consequences of encountering alternate realities. The arrival of these "selves" from another world sets the stage for a story about identity and the bonds that connect people.
