📖 SYNOPSIS
As the crown princess of a fantasy kingdom, Pride Royal Ivy knows exactly how she's supposed to die. She's the crown princess of a fantasy kingdom, but she also has memories of a past life where this world was just an otome game — and she's the final boss everyone has to take down. Season 1 followed her efforts to rewrite that script by actually being a good person, using her ridiculously overpowered abilities and sharp mind to protect her people instead of terrorizing them. Season 2 picks up that thread and pushes things further, as the events Pride has been dreading start closing in despite everything she's done to prevent them. Her adopted brother Stale, her loyal knight Arthur, and the bonds she's built all get tested in ways that feel earned rather than contrived. The thing that makes this work is Pride herself — she's not just passively nice. She's strategic, sometimes ruthless in her kindness, and genuinely compelling as someone fighting against narrative destiny with everything she has. The tone walks a line between hopeful and tense, which keeps it from feeling too saccharine. If you liked My Next Life as a Villainess but wanted something with more dramatic weight, or if Tearmoon Empire Story's comedic angle wasn't quite your speed, this leans harder into the emotional stakes of the villainess premise. Fans of I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss will find familiar ground here too. OLM is handling the animation again for this 2026 TV series, and the josei demographic means it doesn't shy away from character complexity.
