EPISODE CONTEXT
Episode 148 closes out both the Strange Circus Murders arc (Episodes 145-148) and the entire 148-episode run of the original Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo series. The preceding three episodes established the circus setting, introduced suspects, and escalated the body count — this finale bears the full burden of resolution. As the last case Hajime Kindaichi tackles in this adaptation, it serves as the definitive curtain call for the Toei Animation original run.
