The Demon King's Daughter Is Too Kind!!
📖 SYNOPSIS
Demon King Ahriman, the mightiest of all dark lords, discovers he has a daughter problem — and it's not what you'd expect. Doux, child of the fearsome Demon King Ahriman, is genuinely, relentlessly kind. She makes friends with everyone, helps random creatures in need, and radiates warmth in a realm that's supposed to be all about darkness and conquest. Ahriman had to literally pause his world invasion because his kid keeps being nice to the humans they're supposed to be conquering. The kicker? He can't even bring himself to scold her. Instead, he assigns his loyal aide Jahi to mentor Doux in the ways of proper demonhood, and every single attempt to toughen her up just backfires into more wholesome chaos. This 12-episode TV series from EMT Squared, based on the manga, leans hard into that comedic gap between what demons are supposed to be and what Doux actually is. It's a parenting comedy wrapped in fantasy trappings, where the joke is always that kindness is unstoppable and everyone around Doux is slowly losing the battle against her sweetness. The dynamic between the doting demon dad, the exasperated mentor, and the obliviously good-hearted kid carries the whole thing. If you liked the fish-out-of-water demon humor in The Devil Is a Part-Timer or the comedic struggles of The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated, this hits a similar nerve but through a childcare lens. Gabriel DropOut fans will also find familiar ground here — angels and demons not behaving the way they're supposed to is always a solid bit.
