The Comic Artist and His Assistants
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Despite being a genuinely talented manga artist, Yuuki Aito has got one massive problem: he's an absolute degenerate who's obsessed with drawing panties. His long-suffering assistant Sahoto Ashisu just wants to do her job professionally, but Aito keeps asking her to model underwear for "reference material." Throw in a strict editor named Mihari who's constantly keeping him in line, a naive new assistant named Rinna, and you've got a workplace comedy where the workplace happens to be a manga studio run by someone with zero shame. This is a 12-episode TV series with short episodes, so it moves fast and doesn't overstay its welcome. The humor leans heavily on Aito being a hopeless pervert who somehow also has these rare moments of genuine kindness and artistic passion, which keeps the women around him perpetually confused about whether they should slap him or respect him. It's that push-and-pull dynamic that drives most of the comedy. If you liked the manga industry angle of Bakuman but want something way less serious and way more ecchi, this scratches that itch. It's got some of the same energy as Eromanga Sensei in terms of a creator protagonist with questionable tendencies, but the ensemble cast and workplace setting give it its own flavor. The comedy is mostly slapstick and situational rather than plot-driven, so treat it like a hangout show with a perverted twist. Best watched when you want something light and dumb in the best way.
