EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting right past the midpoint of a 12-episode season, this episode builds on the summer break shift that began around episode 6, moving Nishikata and Takagi's dynamic out of the school environment and into more personal, emotionally charged settings. The change of scenery allows their relationship to develop in ways the classroom can't quite facilitate. This sets the table for the back half of the season, where the accumulated warmth of these summer moments is likely to pay off with more emotionally resonant beats.
