Synopsis

Meet Nagi — an apex-tier assassin who took a bullet to the head protecting his little sister. Now he's in a coma, strapped to a weaponized wheelchair, completely unresponsive — unless someone nearby genuinely wants to kill him. The instant he senses real bloodlust, his body switches on like a machine and he tears through everything in his path. Then he goes right back to sleep. His younger sister Shizuka figured this out and decided the best rehabilitation plan is to keep dragging them both into the deadliest assassination jobs she can find. She handles the contracts, picks the targets, and essentially uses herself as bait to draw out killers whose murderous intent will jolt Nagi awake. It's twisted physical therapy through gang wars and hitman bounties, and she's completely committed to it. The sibling dynamic is the real hook here — Shizuka looks unassuming but she's the one running the show, cold and calculating, while her brother is this unstoppable force who doesn't even know he's fighting. Polygon Pictures is handling the animation for this 2026 TV series adapted from the web manga, and the tone sits somewhere between the unhinged violence of Chainsaw Man and the assassin-world absurdity of Sakamoto Days, with a layer of dark comedy that reminds me of Dorohedoro. If any of those landed for you, this one's worth keeping on your radar. The premise alone is genuinely unlike anything else out there right now.
