EPISODE CONTEXT
Sitting at the midpoint of the 24-episode run, Episode 14 launches the Bakumatsu Arc, a fresh narrative phase that follows the conclusion of the previous storyline. By rewinding to Jinya's past as Jinta, it recontextualizes the protagonist and deepens his connection to Byakuya before the arc's larger conflicts take shape.
