EPISODE CONTEXT
Following the grueling battle against Fanatio in episodes 14-15, Kirito and Eugeo press forward through the Central Cathedral with wounds both physical and philosophical. Episode 16 sits at a critical midpoint in the back half of the season, transitioning from the earlier knight encounters toward the deeper revelations and power escalations that define the final stretch.
