Super Pig

During her walk to school, Karin Kokubu spots what she thinks is an injured piglet, feeds it her apple out of kindness, and gets transformed into a flying superpowered pig as a thank-you gift. Not exactly what she had in mind. The piglet turns out to be Prince Tonrariano III from the planet Booringo, and his version of a reward is turning her into Justice Buurin — a caped, airborne pig — instead of the glamorous, stylish heroine she always dreamed of becoming. There is a way out, though: collect 108 pearls by performing good deeds, and she earns her ideal transformation. Until then, she's stuck saving the day looking absolutely ridiculous, while also juggling school, friends, and a crush she's too flustered to do anything about. The comedy comes from that gap — between what Karin wants and what she actually gets — and the show leans into it fully. It's a 51-episode TV series from 1994 that spends most of its time poking fun at the magical girl formula itself, long before that kind of self-awareness became common.
