EPISODE CONTEXT
Episode 3 sits firmly in Steins;Gate's foundational arc, following the PhoneWave discovery in episode 2 and pushing the lab members from accidental experimentation toward deliberate investigation of time manipulation. It deepens the Okabe-Kurisu dynamic that becomes central to everything ahead. This is still setup territory in a 24-episode run, but the groundwork laid here is essential for the dramatic escalation that defines the series' second half.
