Spare Me, Great Lord! Season 3
Oshimeter
Synopsis
The more obnoxious Lü Shu acts, the stronger he gets — annoying people is literally his power system. He harvests negative emotions from the people around him, which means the more obnoxious he is, the more powerful he becomes. It's as ridiculous as it sounds, and this third season leans into it hard. This 12-episode ONA picks up after Lü Shu returns from the Qingzhou ruins and gets sent overseas with the Tian Luo Di Wang organization on missions in Thailand and Japan. New locations, new cultivators to irritate, new problems to punch through. The dynamic between Lü Shu and his adoptive sister Lu Xiaoyu still anchors everything — she's one of the few people he genuinely cares about, and their sibling bond gives the show more heart than you'd expect from something this comedic. The animation from Big Firebird Culture keeps the action sequences fluid and colorful, and the pacing stays tight across the season. If you enjoyed the blend of cultivation drama and humor in something like Mo Dao Zu Shi but want a protagonist who's more troll than hero, this fits. Fans of The Fate of Swordsman or Chinese Paladin 3 will recognize the donghua DNA here, but Spare Me, Great Lord leans way harder into comedy than either of those. It's a cultivation story where the main character's greatest weapon is being insufferable, and honestly, it works.
