Skeleton Knight in Another World II
Oshimeter
Synopsis
So here's the setup: a guy falls asleep playing an MMO and wakes up inside the game world as his maxed-out knight character. Cool, right? Except his avatar has a literal skeleton face, so he can't exactly take off his helmet without terrifying everyone he meets. That's Arc's whole deal in Skeleton Knight in Another World, and this second season picks up right where he left off — wandering a fantasy world with absurd power while trying not to freak people out with his bony mug. Season two continues Arc's partnership with Ariane, an elven warrior who's on a mission to free her people from widespread enslavement. Their dynamic is one of the best parts — she's focused and driven, he's overpowered and slightly clueless about the world's politics, and together they stumble into increasingly dangerous conspiracies involving corrupt nobles and shady power brokers. The action hits hard when it needs to, but there's a laid-back energy running through the whole thing. Arc treating world-ending threats like minor inconveniences never stops being funny. If you liked Overlord's trapped-in-a-game setup but wanted something less scheming and more wholesome, this scratches that itch. Fans of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime will recognize the vibe — OP protagonist, world-building that actually goes somewhere, and a tone that doesn't take itself too seriously. The skeletal identity thing adds a layer most isekai don't bother with, giving Arc's journey some genuine texture beneath all the sword-swinging.
