📖 SYNOPSIS
In a decommissioned mine far beneath Okinawa, Reki Kyan builds custom skateboards and races them in an underground competition called 'S,' where anything goes and the crashes are real. His new friend Langa, a Canadian transfer student who's never touched a skateboard but spent years snowboarding, picks up the sport unnervingly fast — and that dynamic between them is honestly the heart of the whole show. Season 1 ended with their friendship tested and a lot of unresolved tension in the 'S' scene, and now Bones is bringing them back for a second season to push things further. New rivals, deeper stakes, and presumably even more ridiculous downhill races where people grind on cave walls at full speed. The animation is where this really shines — Bones puts serious work into making every trick feel fluid and weighty, and the soundtrack keeps pace with all of it. The cast is also just genuinely fun, from the flamboyant villain who treats skateboarding like performance art to the kid who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a mine at night. If you liked the competitive energy and character bonds in Yuri on Ice or the over-the-top sports spectacle of Air Gear, this hits a similar spot. And if you watched Free and wished the sport was a little more dangerous, here you go. It's skateboarding in a mine. People get hurt.
