📖 SYNOPSIS
Going through a rough patch in his life, college student Koji decides to hike Mount Brighton to clear his head. Instead of peace and quiet, he finds strange alien fruits that are mutating every creature on the mountain — and because this is a cultivation story, he eats one. Turns out that particular fruit awakens something called the supreme bloodline of the Human King, which is about as intense as it sounds. Sheng Xu is a 2026 ONA from BUILD DREAM based on a web novel, and it's set in this post-civilization world where ancient powers are resurfacing as the old rules of reality start breaking down. Think crumbling ruins meeting a full-blown martial arts cultivation system, where the action leans heavy into mysticism and ancient lore rather than just raw power scaling. The vibe is somewhere between self-discovery journey and "the world is fundamentally changing and you're at the center of it." If you liked the cultivation depth of Immortality (Yong Sheng) or the blend of modern characters thrown into supernatural martial arts worlds like The Fighter of Destiny, this hits a similar groove. It also shares some DNA with Rakshasa Street in how it mixes historical fantasy elements with grounded character stakes. The post-civilization setting gives it a slightly different flavor from your standard xianxia though — there's a real sense of uncovering something that was buried rather than just climbing a power ladder.
