EPISODE CONTEXT
Sitting at the rough midpoint of the Tao family rescue arc, this episode escalates the conflict that began when the group set out to retrieve Ren from his family's control. The previous episodes built tension around the Tao clan's oppressive hierarchy, and now that tension detonates with the confrontation against En himself. Resolving this clash will be pivotal in defining Ren's allegiances going forward and clearing the path for the group's return to the larger Shaman Fight competition.
