Sasaki and Miyano: Graduation
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Studying is the furthest thing from Sasaki's mind. University entrance exams are looming, graduation is around the corner, and all he can think about is his boyfriend Miyano, who's a year below him and still has another year of high school left. That's the setup for this movie — a quiet, emotionally honest look at what happens when a couple who just got together has to face the reality that their daily routine is about to change. Sasaki's a third-year trying to figure out his future while Miyano, a BL manga-obsessed second-year, is processing what it means when the person you care about won't be in the hallway anymore. The film keeps the same gentle, warm tone as the TV series — no melodrama, no manufactured conflict, just two people being genuinely tender with each other and working through real feelings about distance and growing up. Studio Deen gives it soft, clean visuals that match the mood perfectly. If you liked Doukyuusei for its understated romance or Given for the way it handles emotional stakes without ever feeling overwrought, this hits a similar note. It's also a solid entry point if you've already seen the Sasaki and Miyano series and want closure on that chapter of their relationship. The whole thing runs as a single movie, so it's a comfortable one-sitting watch — like a warm, slightly bittersweet afternoon.
