My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO!
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Building his entire personality around being a loner, Hachiman Hikigaya is honestly pretty good at it. He's got a philosophy for why social niceties are fake, friendships are transactional, and youth is a lie people tell themselves. The problem is, he's starting to care about people — and that's where things get complicated. This 13-episode TV series picks up with Hachiman, the ice-cold Yukino Yukinoshita, and the warmhearted Yui Yuigahama running their school's Service Club, helping classmates with their problems. But the way Hachiman solves things — usually by sacrificing himself or playing the villain — is starting to crack the foundation of what these three have built together. Season two shifts the balance from comedy toward something more emotionally raw. The laughs are still there, but feel. studio leans hard into the drama this time, and the character writing is where it really shines. You watch these people try to be honest with each other and themselves, and it's genuinely painful sometimes because the show understands how hard that actually is in high school. If you liked the relationship tension in Toradora or the awkward social dynamics in Haganai, this hits a similar nerve but with a more introspective edge. Fans of Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions will recognize the blend of humor and emotional vulnerability, though this one plays things more grounded. It's a slow burn, but the payoff in character growth is worth sitting with.
