Sankarea: Undying Love
Oshimeter
Synopsis
For as long as he can remember, Chihiro Furuya has dreamed of having a zombie girlfriend. Not in a creepy way — well, maybe a little creepy — but the dude is genuinely obsessed with the undead. Zombie movies, zombie manga, zombie everything. When his beloved cat Babu gets killed in an accident, Chihiro digs up an old manuscript and starts experimenting with a resurrection potion at an abandoned building. That's where he meets Rea Sanka, a beautiful girl from a wealthy family who sneaks out at night to scream her frustrations into a well because her father's control over her life has become suffocating. The two start spending time together as Chihiro works on his potion, and things go in a direction neither of them expected. This 12-episode TV series from Studio Deen walks a surprisingly careful line between romantic comedy and genuine darkness. The ecchi moments are there, but what sticks with you is the atmosphere — there's a melancholy underneath the humor that gives it weight. Rea's family situation gets unsettling in ways you don't see coming. If you liked the zombie comedy vibes of Is This a Zombie? but wanted something more grounded emotionally, or if Shiki's horror elements appealed to you but you're in the mood for something with more romance, Sankarea sits in that sweet spot. It's comedic, romantic, and dark in roughly equal measure, and it doesn't waste its 12 episodes getting there.

Quick Takes
View all 27 takesEven if it's playing on tropes, it really shows that Rea has been freed from his father's grasp for now, and more information regarding the Sanka household just really shows how absurd they are.
Ok. Iba a decirte que podrias saltar este episodio, ya que muestra la perspectiva de Mero y sus amigas de colegio, su imaginación y cosas de niñas... pero se da un vuelco el capitulo donde se muestra parte importante de la historia 👌
