EPISODE CONTEXT
Sitting at roughly the midpoint of the first season's 46-episode run, episode 20 is a standalone filler that pauses the Dark Kingdom storyline entirely. The preceding episodes have been steadily building the Sailor Guardian roster and escalating encounters with the enemy, while upcoming episodes will push the search for the Moon Princess and Silver Crystal into higher gear. This beach detour offers a breather between those narrative beats without contributing to or altering the season's central arc.
