Following Yahiko's introduction in episode two, this third installment focuses on settling the core trio dynamic at Kamiya Dojo — Kenshin, Kaoru, and Yahiko — while probing Kenshin's inner conflict more directly. It's still very early in a 94-episode run, firmly in the character establishment phase. This episode lays critical emotional groundwork before the series begins introducing the larger threats and rival swordsmen that will define the arcs ahead.
