EPISODE CONTEXT
Sitting at the midpoint of Tomoe Koga's arc that began in Episode 4, this episode deepens the stakes of her situation and Sakuta's involvement before the resolution expected in Episode 6, 'This World You Choose.' It builds directly on the social pressures and supernatural entanglements established previously, making it essential connective tissue rather than filler. At episode 5 of 13, the series is also laying emotional groundwork that will inform Sakuta's approach to the arcs that follow in the season's back half.
