EPISODE CONTEXT
This is the payoff to a three-episode arc that began with Ash's first humbling defeat at Sabrina's gym and continued through his detour to Lavender Town in 'The Tower of Terror,' where he befriended Haunter. Episode 24 resolves Ash's quest for the Marsh Badge, closing out one of the original series' most memorable gym storylines. With Saffron City behind him, Ash's Indigo League journey pushes forward toward Celadon City and his next badge challenge.
