Origami Ninja Koyankinte
Oshimeter
Synopsis
From a faraway world called Origamio, a paper-folding ninja lands on Earth looking for a magical stone that makes people happy. That's the kind of show this is, and honestly, it owns it. Koyan is our paper-folding hero, and his quest to find the 'Hapiton' stone brings him together with his childhood friend Namin and a new companion named Lublin. Things are going fine until Evilrun shows up — a villain who has a literal black hole in her stomach and just tries to inhale everything around her. Her motives are unclear, which is part of the fun, because she keeps popping up at the worst possible moments to derail whatever Koyan's group is doing. The whole thing has this paper-craft visual style that gives it a really distinct look — think traditional animation blended with origami aesthetics, which makes the action sequences surprisingly creative. Koyan's abilities are all origami-based, so problem-solving involves folding things into shapes, which is a neat hook for a kids' show. If you grew up watching Ninja Hattori-kun or remember the charm of something like Ninja Ko, this hits a similar frequency — lighthearted ninja antics with a comedic tone that doesn't take itself too seriously. Fans of Checkered Ninja's blend of humor and adventure might find something to like here too. It's a TV series from studio Directions, aimed at kids but with enough weirdness to keep older viewers curious about what Evilrun's deal actually is.
